Frequently Asked Questions about Campground Memberships

What are member affiliations?
Membership Affiliations are a network of RV Resorts that have been approved to participate and provide use privileges to their members. These resorts pay substantial affiliation fees and meet stringent requirements to participate. Country Village offers memberships that are affiliated with the largest networks of private membership camping resorts. Affiliations provide a reciprocal service, which expands the recreation and vacation opportunities derived from membership in our Home Resort. Affiliations also provides a number of other services and benefits for resort members.

How do I become a member?
By joining Country Village you may camp at any of the 400 affiliated resorts, for $8 per night. The general public cannot join an affiliation alone. Affiliation is gained through the membership at Country Village your “Home Resort.”

We are proud of our park and we think a visit to Country Village would be the best start. However, if you are unable to visit us just yet, please contact us and we would be glad to accommodate your specific needs. I can assure you that there are no sales people/consultants/sharks or whatever you want to call them waiting to attack. You will be speaking directly with our active park staff (the folks that live and work here), or a member of the owners family. None of which work on commission.

If you like, you may familiarize yourself with our full set of park rules and a sample contract.

What does it cost?
The initial membership fee is $499.00 and annual dues of $99.00 per year. Members renew their affiliations yearly. Prices generally cost between $60-$90 per year.

What is the relationship between affiliations and the individual RV parks?
RV Parks are licensed as an affiliate. However, affiliations do not own or operate the individual RV parks.

Does a membership run on a calendar year or does it start from the date submitted on the application?
A membership will go for 12 months from the date you join.

How long will it take to receive my membership card?
Your permanent membership card should reach you within 30 days from the time your application is received by RPI and Country Village.

May I begin using affiliated resorts immediately?
Certainly. You may begin using the affiliated resorts as soon as you receive your temporary membership card. A temporary membership card provided by Country Village Resort will give you immediate access.

What do I need to be admitted to an affiliated resort?
An Affiliation Membership Card, a Country Village I.D. and a driver’s license.

When do I pay my annual dues to the affiliation?
Members receive a renewal notice each year prior to their anniversary date.

If I decide not to renew my membership but change my mind later on, can I renew it at a later date?
Yes, however there is a $100.00 reinstatement fee plus an applicable renewal fee.

How many membership cards do I receive with my membership?
One. Additional or replacement cards can be issued for a $5.00 processing fee.

If I sell my resort membership, is the new owver eligible to join the affiliation?
Yes, but the affiliation must be notified in writing of the transfer of membership. An application must also be signed by the new owner and a transfer fee must be paid.

How do I know which resorts participate in the program?
First, check your Resort Directory. You may also check with Country Village or give the affiliation a call.

Do all resorts have RV sites?
All the RV resorts do. However, some resorts are accepted into the program on a provisional basis while under construction. These resorts have agreed to build RV sites and extensive recreational facilities but may not have everything at first.

Memberships
The membership is only available to members of a resort that is affiliated. The affiliation membership dues are separate from your Country Village dues.

Membership Identification
All members are required to present a Country Village membership card and their affiliation membership card upon check-in. Members without proper identification will not be accepted at the Hosting Resort. Please be sure you have these two items prior to your visit. Additional and/or replacement membership cards may be ordered through Member Services Office for $5.00. In the event that your card has been lost or stolen and you are on the road, the affiliation can verify your membership with the park you are scheduled to visit.

Reservations
There are two major factors that allow members to access the use of campsites on a drive-up basis. The license agreement each developer signed with the Affiliation is required to set aside a percentage of their campsites to be used only by visiting affiliate members. These are campsites that the developer cannot sell memberships to. Between the private member only status and the campsites at each resort reserved for visiting members, resorts are generally available on a drive-up basis. There are however just under 20% of the resorts that history has proven drive-up availability is not always that certain. These resorts have been placed on what’s known as the “Advanced Notification Status.” This status will be specifically so noted on the directory page where the map and driving directions are listed. These resorts do want to know when you are arriving and for how many nights you plan to stay.
